T2F (The Second Floor) is a platform designed to promote social awareness and activism. Cleverly ninja-cloaked as a coffeehouse/bookstore, T2F has consistently put on some great events (poetry readings, book signings, workshops, talks, debates, film screenings, unplugged music sessions, and stand-up comedy) and managed to get some of the brightest minds in the country and abroad to participate.

Their events are refreshingly original and contain none of the ho-hum snobbery that seems to accompany many “intellectual” focal points elsewhere. Grounded and humble, these people are a rare combination of the artist-business(wo)men.

We at Uth Oye! firmly believe that today’s youth only appears apathetic to Pakistan’s plight because they do not have a common, all-aggregating platform from where they can engage with other like minded people. T2F has very quickly become one of these catchalls – The lure of a batch of warm and tasty homemade cookies was too great for us to resist.

In Mid 2010, we made our first monetary contribution to T2F and have pledged our support for a while to come.
